Brooks Note 2023 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

I recently had the pleasure of tasting a stunning Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. The wine's ruby hue immediately hinted at its deliciousness. The nose was captivating – a complex blend of spicy cherry, clove, allspice, and sweet baking spices, all delicately interwoven with floral notes of rose and a surprising whisper of baby powder. On the palate, this Pinot Noir was a revelation. Tart dark cherries and juicy plum took center stage, supported by a vibrant acidity and subtle minerality reminiscent of wet stone and the salty sea air. The baking spices added depth and complexity, culminating in a lingering finish of tart cherry pie with a delightful touch of sweetness. With only 300 cases made, this is a true gem.
